Everything you need to know about wedding photography inside a Vegas wedding chapel
Here is how things work. You choose a chapel that you like, and each chapel will have ton of wedding packages to choose from, some chapels offer digital images and some offer printed photos. For chapels that offer prints, typically, their print services are slow and can take 4-6 weeks. Plus, you don’t get the copyrights, and have to order prints through the chapel which can be 10-20x more expensive than your local printer. If you want the copyrights and the digital images, wedding chapels can typically charge more than the wedding package itself for the entire set of photos. Digital images seem to be preferred by most couples nowadays. Chapels like to phrase their words carefully and their phrasing can be very tricky. They often don’t clearly explain what they mean in their phrases. The most popular way Las Vegas wedding chapels like to offer images in their wedding packages is digital images of the ceremony, what that means, all the posed images with your family and friends or the fun posed pictures after the ceremony will be for sale. We have seen some of the chapels sell additional images for up to $40 each image. Other chapels will offer a small amount of posed images and then all the ceremony images are for sale. We have even come across a couple of chapels that use the phrase “the first 20 digital images” , which means you get the first 20 images that the photographers take. So, if the first 20 images are of the bridesmaids and bride walking down the aisle, whether your eyes are open or closed, that is the photos they will give you. Then you have to purchase all the additional images. Wedding chapels tend to have a high turn over rate with their photographers. We have come across some brilliant photographers working at these chapels and we have seen some really bad photographers also. Most chapels don’t allow you to choose your photographer, so you never know what you will get until you see the images after it is all said and done. Some chapels will allow you to bring a photographer with you but, most chapels will charge a fee. It could be worth paying the fee to bring us along so you get all the images that we take at no additional fee or we can set up a photo shoot or photo tour after your wedding. Here is a list of chapels in Vegas. Not in any particular order, check each one out and see which one is the best fit for your needs
